PETRO SHPORCHOUK

Member of Ukrainian National Union of Artists since 1989

Born September 05, 1942 in village Maly Matsevichy, Starokostyantynivsky area of Khmelnytsky region, Ukraine.
In 1956 finished 7 classes of school located in native village.
In 1959 graduated school of artist crafts located in Yavoriv, Lviv region, acquired profession of art and decorative carving engraver with grade IV. Studied from masters K.Kavas, P.Burtny.
In 1971 graduated Lviv state institute of applied and decorative art with diploma of artist of applied and decorative arts. Lecturers: I.Skobalo, D.Dovbushynsky, M.Kurylych.
Since 1971 active participant of regional, national and international art exhibitions (St.Gallen – Switzerland; Winnipeg – Canada, Sliven – Bulgaria, biennale “Lviv’91 – Rebirth” – Lviv, Ukraine, Kiev, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky – Ukraine). Works in genres of painting, easel and book graphics, monumental and decorative art.
Prose writer. Published 13 stories, narrative story “Unreal mirages”, 2002. Novel “Fate”, 2003.
For digital graphic arts uses computer programs Corel Draw, Photo Shop.

Personal exhibitions were held in:

• February - March 1984 – exhibition hall of Art studios of National Art fond, Ternopil, Ukraine;
• September - November 1984 – exhibition hall of club-house “Atlant”, JSC “Vatra”, Ternopil, Ukraine;
• January 1985 - exhibition hall of club-house “Tekstylnyk”, Ternopil, Ukraine;
• September 1992 – exhibition hall of Ternopil division of National Union of Artist;
• August 1994 – Historical Museum of Kamyanetz-Podilsky;
• August 1997 – Kobzar hall of Ukrainian House in Kiev;
• September 2002 – personal art exhibition dedicated to 60-year anniversary of the author, exhibition hall of Ternopil division of National Union of Artist;
• March 2004 – personal art exhibition dedicated to 190-year anniversary of T.Shevchenko birthday, Natioal museum in Lviv.

• Mosaic relief panel at hall of club-house of JSC “Vatra”, Ternopil, Ukraine;
